Homigo (“Homigo”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) is operated by Homigo Ltd, a company registered in Mauritius (Business Registration Number: C26236133), with its registered address at 3 Route Tranquille, Vacoas, Mauritius.
Homigo is an online marketplace that connects guests looking for short-term accommodation with local hosts across Mauritius. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our website, kothomigo.com (the “Platform”).

2. Information We Collect
Account information — When you register on Homigo, we collect your name, email address, phone number (including WhatsApp number), and password.
Booking information — When you make or receive a booking, we collect details such as check-in/check-out dates, number of guests, special requests, and any messages exchanged as part of the booking.
Host and listing information — If you list a property on Homigo, we collect details about the property, including photos, location, pricing, amenities, and availability.
Usage information — We may collect information about how you use the Platform, such as pages visited and actions taken, to help us improve our services.
Communications — If you contact us directly (by email, WhatsApp, or our contact form), we keep a record of that correspondence.
Consent records — When you register an account, we record that you accepted our Terms & Conditions and this Privacy Policy, along with the date and time, as evidence of your consent.

4. Payments
At this time, Homigo does not process online payments directly through the Platform. Bookings made through Homigo are treated as booking requests; payment arrangements are currently confirmed directly between the guest and the host, outside of the Platform.
We are in the process of integrating a secure online payment system (via MIPS) to allow guests to pay for bookings directly on Homigo. Once this feature is live, this Privacy Policy will be updated to describe how payment information is collected, processed, and protected, including which third-party payment processor is used.
5. Cookies
Homigo uses cookies that are necessary for the Platform to function correctly, such as keeping you logged in and remembering your preferences. We do not currently use third-party analytics or advertising cookies. If this changes in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy accordingly and, where required, ask for your consent.
6. Sharing Your Information
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
We share information as necessary to operate the Platform, including:
- Between guests and hosts, to facilitate a booking (e.g., a host receives a guest’s contact details once a booking is made, and vice versa)
- With service providers who help us run the Platform (such as our web hosting provider)
- Where required by law, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Homigo, our users, or others
7. Data Retention
We keep your personal information for as long as your account is active, or as needed to provide you with our services. We may retain certain information for longer periods where required for legal, accounting, or dispute-resolution purposes.
8. Your Rights
Under the Data Protection Act 2017, you have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your personal information, subject to certain legal exceptions
- Withdraw any consent you have previously given
- Lodge a complaint with the Mauritius Data Protection Office if you believe your personal data has been processed unlawfully
